What is The Lamplighter's Notebook?

Sam Altman had these lines in the last paragraph of his blog post called The Intelligence Age:

Many of the jobs we do today would have looked like trifling wastes of time to people a few hundred years ago, but nobody is looking back at the past, wishing they were a lamplighter. If a lamplighter could see the world today, he would think the prosperity all around him was unimaginable. And if we could fast-forward a hundred years from today, the prosperity all around us would feel just as unimaginable.

I loved the idea of a time-traveling lamplighter accelerating 100 years at a time. Now, imagine if he had a notebook and you could read it on your RSS feed reader or email. Wouldn't that be wonderful?

I thought the same thing.

For the first half of my life, I was focused on the first part of my name, prad. I still use it on all my social media handles, pradx.

This year, I remembered the second part of my name, deep. When I looked at the type of content I was consuming, I found deep work, deep health, deep pockets, and I was missing deep sleep.
